The Commonwealth's Attorney's Office is responsible for prosecuting all felony, domestic violence, and serious misdemeanor cases in Gloucester County where the Code of Virginia requires. Our office consists of four full-time prosecutors and one part-time domestic violence prosecutor. Each of our attorneys prosecutes cases in the Gloucester County General District Court, Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and the Circuit Court.
The Victim-Witness Program is also housed within this office. It is responsible for assisting victims of crimes as their cases proceed through the criminal justice system.

** VICTIM/WITNESS PROGRAM INTERNSHIP **
The Victim/Witness Program of the Gloucester County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office provides a select number of unpaid internships to students studying criminal justice, social work, and related fields in furtherance of their education.
Through observation and hands-on experience, interns learn the important role an advocate holds throughout the prosecution of a criminal case. Generally, the office hosts interns from May through August of each year. Internships can be arranged for other time periods on a case by case basis.
