CodeRED Notification System
The CodeRED system provides Gloucester County officials the ability to quickly deliver messages to targeted areas or the entire county. This system gives individuals and businesses the ability to add their own phone numbers directly into the system's database allowing everyone the ability to control how they receive emergency notifications. All businesses should register, as well as all individuals who have unlisted phone numbers, who have changed their phone number or address within the past year, and those who use a cellular phone or VoIP phone CodeRED Notification Systemas their primary number. CodeRED allows geographically based delivery, which means street addresses are required to ensure emergency notification calls are received by the proper individuals in a given situation. The system works for cell phones too, but we need to have an associated street address to provide relevant messages. CodeRED gives those who want to be included an easy and secure method for inputting information. The data collected will only be used for emergency notification purposes. Questions should be directed to the Emergency Management Office at 804-693-1390.

CodeRED Weather Warning
CodeRED Weather Warning is an opt-in only weather warning product that taps into the National Weather Service’s Storm Based Warnings. CodeRED Weather Warning automatically alerts affected citizens in the path of severe weather just moments after a warning has been issued. Calls are delivered so quickly they often arrive prior to any other public notifications, usually before television or weather radio broadcasts are aired, which will provide Gloucester County citizens extra time to prepare. Based on the National Weather Service’s polygon methodology, only citizens in the path of projected weather are contacted, not all county citizens. This no-charge update will allow community members to easily identify calls coming through the systems. Message recipient’s Caller ID will read Emergency Communications Network or 866-419-5000 for CodeRED calls. And for CodeRED Weather Warning calls, either Emergency Communications Network or the number 800-566-9780 will appear on Caller ID displays.

CodeRED Mobile Alert
CodeRED Mobile Alert is an app, which is a free download for iPhone and Android subscribers, will allow Gloucester County residents, as well as those traveling through the area, to receive community and emergency alerts via notifications to their smartphones. The new platform will serve as one additional tool to help inform the community and visitors about important information that may impact their safety. If you have the app downloaded and are in the affected area of the alert, a notification will be sent through the app to alert you of the issue. Residents with iPhones and Android smartphones are encouraged to download the app to begin receiving notifications from The County of Gloucester. The app is available for a free download on the iTunes store and Google Play. For more information or to download the CodeRED Mobile Alert app, visit http://ecnetwork.com/mobile/getitnow.html.
