The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office partners with and promotes other agencies and businesses that assist us in not only protecting our citizens, but who help in our mission of making Gloucester "The Land of the Life Worth Living". Below are some helpful links and information. If you would like to participate in our ride-along program, please submit this form to our office. Citizens may ride once per twelve month period.
Shop With A Cop (SWAC) Application
Looking to make this holiday season memorable for your children, but in need of financial assistance? "Shop with a Cop" (SWAC) is now accepting interest forms for Gloucester County residents with children under the age of 18, starting September 1st. Interest forms can be downloaded here, and can also be found in our Jail lobby or on our Facebook page. Please return all completed forms to Ms. Kyrstin Shackelford - these can be dropped off at our lobby, mailed to her at 7502 Justice Drive, Gloucester VA, 23061, or attached in an email.
To be eligible, you must be a resident of Gloucester County, have a valid phone number, and must not have shopped with us for two consecutive years. All applications will be considered, however, applying for holiday assistance with SWAC does not guarantee acceptance into the program. An applicant's need for assistance must first be assessed and final determination for inclusion will be made by the independent SWAC board. For any further questions, interest in volunteering, or donating to the cause please call (804) 693-6597 and select option two.
Please be aware that we will stop accepting interest forms for the 2017 Holiday Season on November 3rd, 2017.
