Gloucester's Clean Community Program

Gloucester County's Clean Community Program promotes litter prevention, effective beautification, waste management and recycling strategies, and acts in an advisory capacity to the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors on matters affecting the quality of the local environment. The program is supported by hundreds of volunteers with community pride who work to help keep Gloucester beautiful, clean, and litter free.

Business Recycling Report Forms Due March 1, 2010
 The Commonwealth of Virginia requires local governments to submit documented recycling and waste disposal information each year. To determine the rate, Gloucester businesses must provide the Clean Community office information on their recycling activities by completing and returning a Recycle Rate Form by March 1, 2010. Businesses may complete and submit the form electronically or printing the form and mailing it. Click this link to complete the Business Recycling Report Form electronically.

How to Dispose of CFL Bulbs
The Home Depot in Gloucester now has an in-store consumer compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulb recycling program. Customers can bring in any expired, unbroken CFL bulbs and give them to an associate at the returns desk for proper disposal.
