Electronics & Others

Electronics, compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, and other items must be disposed of properly and not placed in the landfill.

  • Electronics - Computers, keyboards, cell phones,  television and other computer peripherals are accepted at the Puller Center in Gloucester for a small fee. Call 693-3114 for details.

  • CFL bulbs are responsibly disposed of by Home Depot. Customers may turn in expired and unbroken bulbs to the returns desk.

  • Batteries - Car and boat batteries can be taken to many Gloucester businesses that sell new batteries. Old batteries can also be turned in when a new battery is purchased.

  • Radio Shack stores in Gloucester accept rechargeable batteries for responsible disposal. Tidewater Soil & Water Conservation (Fox Hunt Lane) is collecting alkaline batteries for recycling. These batteries can also be dropped off at the Main Gloucester Library.
