Completing the Forms
For the safety of the children, Gloucester County chooses to do a criminal background check on all volunteers. While all volunteers must be screened, a criminal history does not automatically disqualify one from volunteering in the schools.
There are two background check forms and an informational form that you need to complete and submit directly to the Community Education Coordinator at the school in which you wish to volunteer. These can be found on this site or can be provided by the school you will be volunteering in. Please print all three forms and fill them out. (Note: The Social Services Background Check must be printed in color. If you do not have a color printer, the Community Education Coordinator would be happy to supply you with a form.)
