The Commissioner of Revenue's Office administers:

• The Business, Professional and Occupational Licenses tax ordinance. The Code of Virginia provides the authority for the localities to adopt a business license ordinance and also provides guidelines to administer the ordinance.

• The Prepared Food & Beverages Tax Ordinance. This ordinance was adopted by authority of the Code of Virginia by the  Board of Supervisors of Gloucester on January 7, 1997. The effective date was February 1, 1997.

• The Transient Lodging Tax Ordinance. This ordinance was adopted by authority of the Code of Virginia by the Board of Supervisors of Gloucester County on June 6, 2000.  The effective date was July 1, 2000.
