Duties:
Seeking a self-motivated professional, capable of supervising or
performing advanced fiscal control and accounting work involving the
administration of records concerning the receipts, expenditures and
balances of Federal, State and County funds. Also responsible for
preparing for the annual year-end audit, preparing Comprehensive
Annual Financial Report, and involves specialized preparation and
maintenance of complex computer programs and operational routines
for data processing systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, 3 to 5
years experience working with complex automated financial systems,
spreadsheet applications, and governmental accounting and reporting,
and 2 years supervisory experience; or any
equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the
required knowledge, skills, and abilities. CPA certification
preferred.

Gloucester County, Virginia is seeking a dynamic team orientated
director with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal
skills. Gloucester County is a rural community of 35,000+
residents centrally located on the Eastern Seaboard with easy access
to the Chesapeake Bay, Virginia’s Historic Triangle, and major
cities. Our
system,
supported by a staff of 25, includes 4 MGD combination surface water
and deep well reverse osmosis plant, and a central sewage collection
system. Position plans, organizes, and directs the activities of
supervisory, technical, and clerical personnel engaged in operation
of water treatment plant, water supply system, sewage collection,
and customer service and billing systems. Work involves financial
activities, program development, strategic planning, DEQ consent
order compliance, staffing, and community relations. Bachelor’s
degree in civil engineering, or a related field and 6 to 9 years of
progressively responsible management experience dealing with
municipal water and wastewater operations, maintenance and
construction; or any equivalent combination of training and
experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and
abilities. Requires registration as a VA Professional Engineer;
possession of a Class I State Waterworks Operators license; and
valid Virginia driver’s license. Salary: $70K - $85K DOQ,
excellent benefits.

Performs work in the foster care/adoption
programs. Exercises considerable independent judgment, discretion,
and initiative in determining the proper action during recruiting,
certifying, training and maintaining foster homes. Professional
level duties to assist the Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT)
and the Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT) for At-Risk Youth
and Families. Oversight of several grants. Knowledge and experience
working with the Comprehensive Services Act (CSA) is preferred.
Knowledge of and experience in the field of service delivery to
youth and families who are at-risk is preferred.

baccalaureate degree in the Human Services field (MSW preferred) or
