Basic Information

  • Uniforms will consist of shirts that will be supplied for all players.

  • Shorts or sweatpants and rubber cleats or tennis shoes may be worn.

  •  Players need to have their own gloves.

  • Bats, balls, tees (if applicable) and bases will be supplied.

  • Girls and Boys play on the same team in all leagues.

  • Volunteer coaches and officials are needed.

  • Registration Deadline is 1st Friday in May.

Practice and game sites

  • Abingdon Park, Ark Park, Botetourt Elementary, Gloucester High School, Page Middle School, Peasley Middle School, Susanna Wesley Church and TC Walker Elementary

Whiffleball

  • For ages 4-5.

  • This league is purely for fun, no score, no standings.

  • Plastic balls and oversized bats are used to hit the ball from a tee.

  • Coaches are on the field to assist players.

  • Everyone plays the whole game and bats in every inning.

  • Teams meet 8 times, no more than twice per week.

  • A 15-minute instruction period is followed by a 3-inning game.

  • Registration deadlines is First Friday in May.

  • Mid June through Mid July.

Youth Teeball

  • For ages 6-7. This league teaches the fundamentals to prepare youth for softball and baseball.

  • Safety balls are used and batters will hit off of a tee.

  • All players will bat in every inning of the 3-inning games.

  • Registration deadline is First Friday of May.

  • Late May through early August.

  • For ages 8-10. 

  • Slo-pitch league where players play regular softball positions including the pitching position.

  • However a coach pitches. 

  • Each batter will get 5 pitches or three strikes, whichever comes first. 

  • Equal playtime for all. 

  • Teams meet twice per week.

  • Registration deadline is First Friday of May.

  • Late May through early August.

Youth Softball

  • For ages 11-16.

  • There are 2 divisions in this league: 11-14 & 15-16.

  • Slo-pitch softball will be played in these leagues. 

  • Equal playtime for all.

  • Teams meet twice per week.

  • Registration deadline is First Friday of May.

  • Late May through early August.

  • Coach & Referee Training Clinics - held seasonally.

  • NYSCA Certification Clinics - National Alliance for Youth Sports
