Phoenix Art Group Scholarship Fund back to Directory

photo of Phoenix Art Group raffle winner and paintingThe Phoenix Art Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for a Scholarship Fund which will be awarded to a Gloucester High School Senior who plans to continue their art education on the college level.  Money for the Scholarship fund will be generated by the sale of the Gloucester High School Art Scholarship Calendars and other events which will feature the showing and selling of Fine Art and Fine Craft.  There are several ways you can collaborate with our efforts.  First, you can buy the Art Scholarship Calendars.  They are on sale at the two "Twice Told Tales” stores (Gloucester Main Street and Hayes), Office Supply (in the Edgehill Shopping Center), the Visitor Center (Court House Circle), the Bay School (Mathews) and the Mathews Art Group (The Gallery on Main Street in Mathews).

Secondly you can make a donation to the Phoenix Art Group.  You can make a check specifying "Friend of the Phoenix" in the lower left hand corner of your check.  This money will be used to cover our operating expenses as well as supporting the Scholarship Fund.  You can also make a donation specifying "Scholarship Fund."  All the money from this donation will go to the Scholarship Fund.  Anyone who donates $25.00 or more will receive a complementary Gloucester High School Art Scholarship Calendar.  Mark checks payable to the Phoenix Art Group, P. O. Box 1937, Gloucester, VA 23061.

Thirdly, if you prefer not to donate money, you could become a "Phoenix Friend" someone who would be willing to volunteer their time to help us with our various "Scholarship Fund" projects we will be doing.  If you are planning to donate time and/or money, we at the Phoenix Art Group want you to know that we are dedicated to promoting the art students in our community and their teachers who inspire them.  Won't you join us in this really great cause?  For more information you can contact us at  the above address or call 804-693-6654 or email us.
