During the Festival you can take a bus trip to the Brent & Becky's Bulbs for a guided tour or these 3rd generation bulb growers.  Tours leave from the corner of Duval Ave and Main Street every 45 minutes from 10:30 am until 2:30 pm on Saturday, Sunday Noon to 3:00 pm.  The cost is $5 per person.  Visit Brent and Becky Heath's website http://www.brentandbeckysbulbs.com

 

Daffodil Festival Projects

Donated $2,000 to the Visitor Center's permanent Werowocomoco Exhibit, 2007 planting of the Gloucester Anniversary Garden at the Pocahontas Statue on Main Street.  Sponsored the 2005-2007 Route 17 Corridor Beautification Project, which involved the planting of 34,000 daffodils in partnership with local businesses. Donation of $15,000 to the meeting room at the New Gloucester Library.  Donations of mowers & gardening equipment to Jail Trustee Program. Scholarships over $20,000 to date. Gloucester Point Beach Picnic Pavilion in partnership with the Gloucester Moose Lodge. Ark Park Beautification. Abingdon Park Beautification. Route 17 Beautification Sites - Newington and Danny’s Glass.  Gloucester Point Beach Beautification. Page Middle School Beautification. Peasley Middle School Beautification.
