Where is the Daffodil Festival?

The Daffodil Festival is located in Gloucester County, Virginia!  We are :
approximately 3 hours south of Washington D.C.
approximately 2 hours south of Fredericksburg,
approximately 1 hour south of Richmond,
approximately 1.5 hours north of Virginia Beach
approximately 1.25 hours north of Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake

Directions to the Daffodil Festival from Richmond, Virginia

From Interstate 64 East take Exit 220 - Route 33 - West Point 

  • Travel about 14 miles (you will cross 2 draw bridges) then turn right onto - Route 14 East

  • Travel about 6 miles to a stop sign then turn right onto - Route 17 South

  •  Option 1 – straight to the festival – find public parking - Travel 7.9 miles to the 3rd stoplight and turn left onto - Route 17 Business this is Main Street, the festival is held on Main Street.  Find a parking space along the street and welcome to the festival.

  •  Option 2 - Shuttle Parking to the festival –SATURDAY ONLY - Travel 10.7 miles to the 7th stoplight at the intersection of Route 17 South and Short Lane.  Turn left onto Short Lane and take the 3rd hard surface road to the right – Gloucester High School Parking lot.  The fee to park is $1 per person (1/2 proceeds go towards Literacy Volunteers of America)Shuttles run from 8 am until 5 pm or until the last car has left the lot.

Directions to the Daffodil Festival
From the Peninsula
 
(Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, York, Williamsburg)
  • Take Route 17 North to the Coleman Bridge - remember there is a $2 toll.

  •  Option 1 – straight to the festival – find public parking on Main Street - Continue on Route 17 North for about 13 miles, you will see McDonalds & Wendy's on the right.  There will be a right hand turn lane just past Wendy's for Route 17 Business.  Take the right, travel 2.3 miles to the stoplight (stay in the left lane).  This is Main Street, home of the Daffodil Festival.  Find a parking space along Main Street and welcome to the festival.

  •  Option 2Shuttle Parking for festival – SATURDAY ONLY - Continue on Route 17 North for about 12 miles to the stoplight at the intersection of Route 17 North and Short Lane.  Turn right onto Short Lane and take the 3rd hard surface road to the right – Gloucester High School Parking lot.  The fee to park is $1 per person (1/2 proceeds to Literacy Volunteers of America)  Shuttles run from 8 am until 5 pm or until the last car has left the lot.

clipart of universal handicapped symbolHandicapped Parking - At the North Road Block (corner of Cary Avenue and Main Street).  Traffic directors will allow you to pass through the road block to park along Main Street.   Shuttle Buses are not Handicapped Accessible.

MAIN STREET PARKING
Parking along Main Street is very limited!  There are two shopping centers, parallel parking, two churches and one school on Main Street. 

SHUTTLE PARKING SATURDAY ONLY
Shuttle
parking is both affordable and convenient.  Just $1 per person and shuttles leave Main Street and Gloucester High School every 30 minutes.  SATURDAY ONLY.   And...one half the proceed from the Shuttle Parking goes to Literacy Volunteers of Gloucester.
