THE PARK OPENING ON MAY 2005

Brown Park graphicMrs. Pat Brown (center) was asked to say a few words on behalf of the Brown Family during the ribbon cutting.  She thanked the volunteers that have made the park possible and made a donation to the second phase of the park!!!

Louise Theberge, (left) Board of  Supervisors, spoke on behalf of the board thanking the Middle Peninsula Relief Society for their generous donation of land and thanking the "field building volunteers" for their time.

During the opening ceremony Carol Steele (left) Director of Parks, Recreation and Louise Theberge, thank Al Ramsay for his volunteer work on the park layout.

After the ribbon cutting, we asked children to plant flowers in "their" new park!!!

Eighty-something folks joined us for the opening of the park.  After the ceremony Field Hockey Games were played!

 

Lots of elbow grease will be needed to complete this park! VOLUNTEERS are needed, if you are interested in helping please email or call 804-693-1261,
together we can make this park a reality!
