Central Purchasing
manages all purchasing needs for both the County and the Schools. |
We continually work hard
to provide the most suitable products and services for the right price and
on time. |
We revise and keep
current the County's Small Purchasing Procedures, which was adopted by the
Board of Supervisors in 1988, and revised March 7, 2000. |
We maintain a master
file of all
State
Contracts that are of interest to Gloucester
County and the School Board. |
We have an electronic database
of all
potential bidders/vendors. |
We participate in
cooperative bidding with other counties whenever possible. |
We obtain needs/services
locally to support our economy whenever practical. |
Our goal is to save
every tax dollar possible on procurement and redeploy these "saved
dollars" to value-added activities such as education, infrastructure
projects, police, and fire protection. |
