To be qualified to vote, the Constitution of Virginia requires that citizens be registered in the precinct in which they live. Registration forms are available at the following locations:

     The Gloucester County General Registrar & Electoral Board wants to
   inform voters of the upcoming
General Election on November 4, 2008.

      The last day to register to vote or make any changes: October 6, 2008

     Absentee Voting in-person will be available in
the office of the General Registrar by the end of September.
The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot:

                          By mail or fax: Tuesday, October 28, 2008
                       
  
In-person: Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 9am-5pm

          If you will be 18 years of age on or before November 4, 2008,
        
 and are a resident of Virginia you are eligible to register to vote
          in this election.

         Voters will be voting in their normal polling places and the polls
                                      will be open from 6am-7pm.
