Mission Statement Our staff is committed to providing safe and affordable housing for low-income families within our six counties on the Middle Peninsula to include Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex, Essex, King William and King & Queen counties.
It is our intention to provide prompt service to all those interested in seeking housing. We hope to relieve the burden on families for the lack of economical housing in these areas. Our goal is to utilize all Vouchers so we can maximize the funding allotted to us by the Virginia Housing Development Authority Office (VHDA) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office. |

General Information
This
office manages six counties. They
include Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex, Essex, King & Queen and King William
counties. Participants who have a Section 8 voucher are also received throughout the United States via our portability feature of the Section 8 program. Our funding ultimately comes from the United States Office of Housing and Urban Development on the federal level. On the state level it comes from the Virginia Housing Development Authority. With this funding our six county governments allow our office to assist low-income families, the elderly and the disabled with their rental assistance needs. |
