JAIL SHERIFF’S OFFICE VISITATION RESERVATION PROCEDURE

The Sheriff Office is committed to ensuring inmates maintain contact with their family and friends during their period of incarceration.  In order to expedite this process each Inmate receives a Visitation List Form.  The inmate will place three people that they have made arrangements to visit them that week.

·         Misconduct by visitors will result in that person being prohibited form entering this facility as a visitor permanently or a specific period of time at the discretion of the Chief Corrections Officer (Captain).

·         Misconduct by inmates will result in suspension of visitation privileges.  The inmate will also be charged with a Rules and Regulations violation.

·         Visits will be for fifteen (15) minutes with three (3) visitors per inmate.           This is subject to change if an unusually high number of visitors arrive for visitation.  If this occurs, a ten (10) minute limit will be places on each visit.

·         Visitors must sign in by 1230 hours for female visitation.  Visitors must sign in by 1515 hours for male visitation.  If any visitors arrive after the cut off times they will be turned away.  For this reason it is very important that you communicate with your visitors and explain to them the rules of this facility.

·         Female inmates with last names beginning with “A” through “L” are allowed visitors on Saturday between the house of 1200 and 1300 hours.  Female inmates with last names beginning with “M” through “Z” are allowed visitors on Sunday between the hours of 1200 and 1300 hours.

·         Male inmates with last names beginning with “A” through “L” are allowed visitors on Saturday between the hours of 1300 and 1600 hours.  Male inmates with last names beginning with “M” through “Z” are allowed visitors on Sunday between the hours of 1300 and 1400 hours.

·         Inmates will be issued an Inmate Visitation Form when being processed for general population.  The inmate will list three (3) visitors that will be allowed to visit them on visitation days.  The Inmate Visitation Form can be change or up-dated if an inmate turns in another form with the current list of people that you want to visit; however, this must be completed by Friday preceding the intended weekend visit.  This is your responsibility…not the jail’s responsibility.  Visitors not listed on the form will not be allowed to visit the inmate.  If the Inmate Visitation form has more than three (3) names on it the form will be considered invalid.

·         No contact or items will be permitted and/or passed between visitor and inmate.  All visitors must register and are subject to search when entering the secured area of the facility.  Money in the form of money orders will be accepted for inmates and placed into their canteen fund.  A receipt will be given to the person who is dropping off the money order and the inmate.
