Ride-Along Program
The Gloucester Sheriff's Office offers citizen's the opportunity to ride with officers and experience the day to day events and encounters of a law enforcement officer.
This program allows citizens to understand what an officer has to deal with on a daily basis. Upon completion of your program you will have a better understanding of how, and why law enforcement operates in the manner of effectiveness.
The Ride-Along program is available to citizens, school internships, and county government.
To qualify for the Ride-Along Program you must submit a completed Ride-Along Application, submit to a background check, and sign any waivers requested by this office.
To apply as a participant of the program, contact Captain Warren or pick-up an application from the Gloucester Sheriff's Office Communications Division.
