Welcome to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office’s, Criminal Investigative Division. This division is comprised of 5 general assignment investigators, 2 narcotics investigators and the unit is managed by a division Lieutenant.
The
general assignment personnel investigate a wide variety of criminal
activities, which are primarily felony offenses, however, each
investigator also works and trains to refine their skills in
specific areas, such as violent crime, financial crimes, forensics, and crimes
involving the family, etc. General assignment investigators are also tasked with all
background investigations for prospective employees.
The Narcotics unit is actively involved in the investigations of narcotics related crimes. Our unit is attached to a regional drug task force, which consists of members of the State Police, York County and Middlesex County Sheriff’s Offices. The task force works proportionately in each of the three counties making several hundred cases each year.
The investigations conducted by this division, involve citizens from all walks of life. They are conducted diligently without prejudice, and guided by the “rule of law”. The “rule of law” insures that each victim, complainant, and suspect is treated appropriately as directed by our constitutions.
