A day on Gloucester's Main Street

This day in Gloucester features a tour of historic Main Street...

Gloucester offers something for everyone…the history buff, nature lover, fishing enthusiast or devoted antique seeker.  Located 13 miles north of the Coleman Bridge on Business Route 17, Gloucester Courthouse is a wonderful place to spend the day!

A Walk Through Historic Gloucester

The Courthouse Circle in Gloucester’s Historic District represents one of the most architecturally sophisticated of Virginia’s colonial courthouses, as well as a colonial jail and debtors’ prison.  Please stop by and see us at our newly opened Visitor Center in the Clayton Building.  The Gloucester Museum of History, once a colonial tavern, offers tours and historic exhibits which change regularly.  Call the Museum at 804-693-1234 for current exhibit information.
