A day at Gloucester Point

For a great day at Gloucester Point visit:

Tyndall's Point Park for a look at history from the North Shores of the York River

Gloucester Point Beach Park for swimming, fishing, boating, sunning or soft serve ice cream (available seasonally) Located at 1255 Greate Road

Virginia Institute of Marine Science - Part of William and Mary College, visit the touch tank, visitor center and aquariums.  Located at 1375 Greate Road

Richmond or the Peninsula from Interstate 64 take the Fort Eustis/Yorktown Route 17 exit.  Then take Route 105 - Fort Eustis Boulevard toward Yorktown, turn left onto Route 17 North - George Washington Memorial Highway.  Cross the Coleman Bridge – remember there is a $2 toll, after crossing the bridge turn Right at the First Stoplight  - Lafayette Heights Drive, travel about 30 yards and turn Right at the stop sign onto Greate Road, the Park is at the end of Greate Road.

Middle Peninsula take Route 17 South, turn left at the last stoplight before crossing the Coleman Bridge - Lafayette Heights Road, travel about 30 yards and turn right at the stop sign onto Greate Road, the Park is at the end of Greate Road.
