drawing of "Old Coke Building" on Main Street

6. The name of this building says it all!  The Coca-Cola manufacturing plant began in the Ken Houtz Chevrolet dealership (since Ken Houtz moved to Route 17, look for this building on the corner of Botetourt Ave and Main Street) just up the street.  It opened on Main Street in 1921.  Eventually, the operation consolidated and moved across the river to York County.  The Gloucester Chamber of Commerce, Environ-Data, TBI and Computers Plus are among the current occupants.
