Check and money order payments may be mailed to Treasurer, 6489 Main Street, Gloucester, VA 23061. Please make checks payable to Gloucester County. Utility Payments: Please write a separate check for your utility payment made out to Gloucester County Utilities. In addition, please do not mail your utility payment to our office in the return envelope provided with your tax bill or decal application. To do so may delay the processing of your utility payment. Utility payments must be received in our office on or before the due date in order to avoid penalty. We recommend mailing your utility payment 7 - 10 days prior to the due date to allow delivery time. Tax Payments: The official U.S. postmark determines whether or not a mailed tax payment is current. If you are mailing your tax payment near the due date, please have it hand cancelled by the Post Office. If you meter your mail, and the Post Office subsequently postmarks it, the official U.S. postmark determines the date mailed.
