PAYMENT OPTIONS

1.   Payments can be made in person at the Treasurer's Office located in Gloucester County Office Building No. 2.
2.  You may mail* your payment to:
                                                         Treasurer
                                                         6489 Main Street
                                                         Gloucester, VA 23061
3.  Payments can be placed in the drive-up Drop Box located at the end of the median strip between Gloucester County Office Buildings No. 1 and No. 2 twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
4.  Payments can be automatically debited from your checking or savings account through the Automated Bank Debit (ABD) service.  Forms for this method of payment may be obtained from either the Treasurer's Office or the Gloucester Utilities Department.
5.  Payments can be accepted online over a secure Internet site.  Before making the payment, you will need to have your utility bill on hand and your credit card information.  To pay by credit card (MasterCard, American Express and Discover), contact
www.officialpayments.com.   A convenience fee will be charged for processing credit card transactions.  All fees are paid to Official Payments Corporation for the cost of providing this service, the County of Gloucester does NOT retain any portion of this fee. Payment by credit card does not give Gloucester County Government access to your credit card number; that information is retained strictly by Official Payments Corporation.  Customers who use the online payment option will receive a confirmation number for future reference.  PLEASE NOTE:  PAYMENTS FOR UTILITY BILLS NEED TO BE MADE 2 WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE CUTOFF DATE OR DUE DATE TO ALLOW TIME FOR PROCESSING.  IF SERVICE HAS BEEN TERMINATED FOR NON-PAYMENT, PAYMENT MUST BE MADE AT THE TREASURER'S OFFICE TO HAVE SERVICE RESTORED; CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
6.  Payments can be made over the telephone by credit card (MasterCard, American Express and Discover).  There is a nominal fee for this service.  Before making the payment, you will need to have your utility bill on hand and your credit card information. To make payment, please follow the steps below:

1.  Call 1-800-2PAY-TAX (1-800-272-9829). 
2.  Enter Jurisdiction Code 1087.
3.  Press 3 to pay a utility bill.
4.  Enter payment information.
5.  Enter credit card information.

All fees are paid to Official Payments Corporation for the cost of providing this service, the County of Gloucester does NOT retain any portion of this fee. Payment by credit card does not give Gloucester County Government access to your credit card number; that information is retained strictly by Official Payments Corporation.  The system will give you a verbal receipt number.  Customers should record and retain this number for future reference.  PLEASE NOTE:  PAYMENTS FOR UTILITY BILLS NEED TO BE MADE 2 WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE CUTOFF DATE OR DUE DATE TO ALLOW TIME FOR PROCESSING.  IF SERVICE HAS BEEN TERMINATED FOR NON-PAYMENT, PAYMENT MUST BE MADE AT THE TREASURER'S OFFICE TO HAVE SERVICE RESTORED; TELEPHONE CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
7.  By accessing
www.gloucesterva.info/treas/onlinepayment.htm, you can pay by check online.  There is no fee for this service.   PLEASE NOTE:  PAYMENTS FOR UTILITY BILLS NEED TO BE MADE 2 WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE CUTOFF DATE OR DUE DATE TO ALLOW TIME FOR PROCESSING.  IF SERVICE HAS BEEN TERMINATED FOR NON-PAYMENT, PAYMENT MUST BE MADE AT THE TREASURER'S OFFICE TO HAVE SERVICE RESTORED; TELEPHONE CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

*If payment is mailed, allow ample time for it to be received in the Treasurer's Office by the due date to avoid a late penalty. Postmarked dates are not acceptable for a payment to be on time.
