One of the new elements introduced by Phase 1 of the Streetscape Enhancement Project is the Pedestrian Island near the end of the Colonial Court Green.  This improvement  helps motorists rounding the circle know where to look for pedestrians crossing the street, and  it gives pedestrians a safe spot to watch for oncoming traffic.
