The Visitor Center is located in the Colonial Courthouse Annex.  Inside you will find a unique Gift Shop, dedicated Werowocomoco exhibit room, and an information room full of brochures on our arear as well as areas throughout Virginia.  The Visitor Center provides an upgraded experience for tourists and residents alike. This is the perfect spot to stop for local information or to find that unique gift for that hard to buy for friend!

Gift Shop

Not only is the Gloucester Visitor Center a source for maps, brochures and information but it also has a gift shop full of unique items. At the gift shop, you will find a variety of historical books, mugs, local honey, postcards, souvenirs, children’s items, t-shirts, Daffodil Festival souvenirs, Virginia is for Lovers merchandise, hats, ornaments, Whitley’s nuts, Gloucester decals, and much more. Additionally, the gift shop features a collection of hand crafted items made by local artist.  

Volunteer Recruitment

How would you like to meet interesting travelers from all over the state, nation, and world, as well as some locals? The Gloucester Visitor Center is looking for volunteers to do just that and more! As a volunteer you will engage with visitors while providing them with welcoming guides, brochures and useful information on Gloucester and its surrounding areas, guide them through the Werowocomoco exhibit room, and help to inspire them to plan memorable and exciting experiences in our County. Positions are available Tuesday-Saturday from 10AM to 1PM and/or 1 to 4PM . Training is provided. Volunteers are welcome to commit to as little 3 hours per month. Hosting an event in Gloucester?

Gloucester Visitor information packets are now available. If requesting more than 10 (max limit of 50) a 2 weeks’ notice is required along with pickup at the Visitor Center. Please email sammons@gloucesterva.info or call 804-693-0014 to submit your request.
