PARKS & WATERWAYS

From walking trails to horseback riding trails, fishing to kayaking, soccer to softball, Gloucester County has parks for everyone. Learn about our parks online and explore them in person! Gloucester parks are open daily except for Thanksgiving & Christmas Day.

Help us make sure everyone's park experience is enjoyable!

  • We love dogs! However, please keep your dogs on a leash and make sure to scoop the poop! We have pet waste stations (with baggies) conveniently at all parks.

  • We work hard to make sure our athletic fields are in shape for sports. Please no golfing on park property.

  • Alcohol is not permitted on any County property, including parks.

A Clean Community

Gloucester County is proud to be a clean community! Sherry Kosakowski, Gloucester County’s Clean Community Coordinator, leads numerous initiatives and projects throughout the year and relies on the care and dedication of residents to help keep the community clean. Gloucester County’s Clean Community efforts include:

  • Promoting recycling and proper disposal of solid waste

  • Facilitating group cleanups and beautification projects

  • Conducting community outreach and education programs in schools and for groups

  • Supporting Adopt-A-Boat Ramp, Adopt-A-Highway, and Adopt-A-Spot programs

  • Applying for and managing grants that fund local cleanup and ‘greenup’ projects

VISIT GLOUCESTER

For History

Visit museums and historic buildings, or take a self-guided driving tour. From Rosewell to Tyndall’s Point to the CAPE, history lovers are sure to be delighted!

For Beauty

Walk our beautiful Main Street, visit our local and state parks, tour the gardens at Brent & Becky's Bulbs, and take in the beauty that is Gloucester.

For Fun

Whether your idea of fun is shopping, hiking, kayaking or experiencing local flavor, Gloucester has it!

Honor an individual or organization through a memorial or honor gift at a Gloucester County Park. The Legacy Donation Program is an effort to increase the number of trees, benches, picnic tables and other items to enhance the visitor experience in parks. Memorial and honor gifts are a thoughtful way to celebrate any occasion and can also function as an expression of sympathy or remembrance. Parks, Recreation & Tourism (PRT) is often asked for opportunities to memorialize or honor an individual or organization.
