Unless otherwise stated, deadlines are one week prior to the activity. Activities have maximum capacities, once reached, registration ends and wait lists are formed.

Register for the classes online. Cash or Check are the only forms of payment collected in the Ranger Station at Beaverdam Park.

Beaverdam Park Fall Programs


Clean Gloucester Day starts at YOUR Parks! Beaverdam Park will be hosting one team of volunteers and another team of volunteers will be at Gloucester Point Beach Park.  Register online or at the Beaverdam Park Ranger Station and specify which park you would like to help clean up. This is a great opportunity to fulfill community service hours and to help beautify Gloucester County’s Parks. Join us October 13th, 2018 at 8:00am. Beaverdam Park: Activity number #50902-01. Prepared to be scared!! Two nights of fright transforms the Nature Trail into a very creepy and terrifying place. Several bone chilling skits are set up along the 20 minute walk thru the woods!  $10 per person for ages 13 and older $5 per person for ages 9 to 12.  Children under 8 are not permitted. Loud noises, uneven surfaces and strobe lights will be on trail.  Please wear sturdy footwear like hiking boots or sneakers. October 26 & October 27 from 7pm to 9:30pm.


Join us for the 3rd annual Howl at the Moon 5K night race. Join fellow runners under a full moon in Beautiful Beaverdam Park. Awards to the best times and awesome race shirts to all that preregister.  The race will be chip timed by Commonwealth Timing. Saturday November 24th   Check in at 7:00pm. Race starts at 7:30pm. Preregistration is only $25 until November 16th  and $35 from November 16th to race day.  All participants must wear a head lamp or carry a good light source for safety. Introductory archery program perfect for beginners thru advanced. We provide a safe and fun environment for youth and adults to learn a new sport. The Archery course is taught by USA Archery certified archery instructors. The courses are designed to be fun and informative while learning the proper skills required to shoot a bow. Youth program for ages 10-18.  Adult program is for 18 and up. Space is limited to 10 Archers. Youth program goes from 2-3:30pm, $10 per session.  Second and Fourth Sundays September thru November. Activity Numbers #50102-01 thru #50102-06.  Adult program will have a pilot session on September 23, 2018 from 4 to 5pm. Activity Number# 50102-07. Deadline to register is the Wednesday before the session.


Join us on August 24th, 2018 in the Whitcomb Lodge at Beaverdam Park for exciting women's personal protection and self defense classes. Learn effective techniques that you can use right away to keep yourself safe. Ages 16 and up. Classes will build on one another but you may attend a single class. Dress comfortably or in workout attire and come to have fun! 6:30pm to 8:00pm. $10 per person per class. Activity Numbers: 50901:08. Deadline to register August 17th.


Join Beaverdam bird enthusiasts for an early morning guided paddle tour observing the many species of migratory water fowl as they journey to their winter range. This program is $10 and includes your two-hour kayak rental. Bring your camera and binoculars if you have them and feel free to bring bird identification material as well. It may be cool so dress weather appropriate. Limited to 10 participants. Ages 10 and up. November 3, 2018. 7am-9am. Activity Number 50602:01 Deadline to register October 31, 2018.


Explore Beaverdam Park in all of it's wonder to earn outdoor skills badges! Our activity based educational program will include topics such as hiking, fishing, first aid, conservation and more. A new badge will be featured each month. Collect them all and display them on your Beaverdam Park Canvas Bag. Ages 4-6 9am-10am. Ages 7-12 10:15am-12:15pm.  $3 per child (This is not a drop off event) Limit 15 participants. The first Wednesday and the second Saturday each month, starting in September. Join us at Beaverdam Park for a fun filled day of team activities and challenges! Program will include hiking, archery, games of skill and other unique tasks. Pack a lunch and dress for the outdoors. Drop off 9am and pick up 1pm at the Whitcomb Lodge. Ages 10-14. $15 per child.  Limit 20 participants. October 8, 2018. Deadline October 3, 2018. Activity Number#:50902:19


Come on out for Beaverdam's Homeschooler Camp. We will spend our days completing fun, nature based activities.  Make inspiring crafts, take an outdoor hike and make some new friends. Pack a lunch and dress for the weather.  Space is limited, register early! The Camp is for 6-12 year olds and starts at the Whitcomb Lodge at 9am and pick up at 1pm. Join us September 10-14 for $55 per child per day. Registration Number# 70904:10. Deadline to register September 5th Limit 25 participants.


Join our Beaverdam Birders for an evening of calling, listening and learning about owls.  Participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight and wear appropriate footwear as the group will be walking the trails at night. Bring your binoculars and camera if you have one. Registration is required. Must be 16 or older. Space is limited. Deadline is one week before program date.
