    The Historical Committee assists in locating, collecting, studying and preserving historical records and promotes the preservation and restoration of properties of historical significance to the County. Promotes architectural and archaeological studies of County properties and helps to preserve and protect the results of the studies for the future. Promotes cooperation with County agencies and State historical agencies and publishes and promotes the publication of brochures, books, commemorative items and articles which accurately portray Gloucester County’s history.

  2. Board of Supervisors Work Session and Budget & Tax Rates Public Hearing (via Electronic Means)

    April 21, 2020, 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM

    Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, this meeting will be conducted electronically. The meeting will be broadcast live on Cox Channel 48 and through the County's meeting portal. Comments for citizen comment periods or public hearings may be submitted in one of the following ways: Comments may be submitted via an online form by visiting until 4:30 p.m. on the day of the meeting selected. Comments submitted anonymously or with fictitious names will not be read. Comments can also be submitted via phone by calling 804-824-2760. By US Mail, send to: County Administration ATTN: Citizen/Public Hearing Comment, 6489 Main Street, Gloucester, VA 23061. Any mailed comments must include your name, your magisterial district, and the meeting and item you are commenting on clearly printed at the top.
